We are very very happy, and humbled, to be presenting our latest Artist Submission with acclaimed art professor, visual artist & writer Clara Lieu.
A multi-disciplinary skilled artist immersed in a range of mediums, Lieu's work explores "themes of isolation and mental illness with an interdisciplinary approach which includes drawing, printmaking and sculpture."
Currently teaching as a Critic in the Division of Foundation Studies at the Rhode Island School of Design, Lieu's experience speaks volumes, having previously taught in illustration and printmaking at RISD, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Wellesley College, and the Lesley University College of Art and Design.
She's also no stranger to exhibiting her work, having shown at the International Print Center New York, Bromfield Gallery, the Danforth Museum of Art, the Currier Museum of Art, the RISD Museum of Art, and the Davis Museum and Cultural Center to name but a few.
Adding to her impressive resume and collection of accolades, Lieu is also a blogger for the Huffington Post, where she writes an advice column for visual artists called "Ask the Art Professor". Oh, and she's also played oboe with orchestras in Boston & New York, as you do.
But enough talk, let's look at her work!
