Born in Sardinia and currently based in Florence, Mongobi has been creating unique pieces for over 20 years. With a diverse background in the fields of art, poetry, design & architecture, Mongobi has studied extensively within these respective fields and brings a wealth of knowledge to the table.
In 1985 she completed a Master of Arts from the Art Institute in Nuoro. In 1997 she went on to join the Faculty of Art Histor and graduated with top marks in Museology, specialising in Contemporary Art. In 2000, she won the International Arts Literature Prize Sergio Polillo with her project 'Milan 1930-1940: relationships between visual arts, literature, poetry and art criticism, as seen through the works of an artist'.
Since completing her formal studies, Mongobi has published several books, written countless articles on art history and cultural issues, and explored other interests in photography and painting. Additionally, she has exhibited extensively throughout Italy and collaborated with many well-received artists along the way.
Her wealth of experience, knowledge and mastery of her chosen medium is a welcome addition to our already expanding network of artists.
